In order to fulfil the requirement of Knowledge of Language, applicants need to obtain an (ESOL) at or above Entry level 3 / B1 CEFR, which consists of speaking and listening.
B1 preparation is offered to candidates who need a little help. You may be just a little below the level required for the test or you may not be feeling confident.
The tutor will help prepare you for the test. You will discuss your topic and how to prepare it. This will include help with ideas, grammar, sentence structure and lexis.
Once prepared, you will then practise with the tutor until you are feeling confident. You will also prepare for the second part of the test and you will practise conversations using language common to the test.
The test method depends on the awarding body, it is either one-to-one interview or group discussion. Each test last from 10 minute to 20 minutes.
