The recent earthquake in Nepal has brought unthinkable devastation , destroying homes, destroying whole villages and destroying families.
Here in Greenwich we have an estimated Nepalese population of at least 6000 - our friends and our neighbours, who are all affected by this tragedy.
We have been working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich Nepalese Nursing Association and Gurkha communities across Greenwich to coordinate a massive relief effort from here in Woolwich Town Hall. In one week, we have collected vital medical and relief supplies. Collected in Greenwich, delivered to Nepal.
Your support is vital.
Twenty-six nurses from Greenwich are leaving for Nepal shortly. Your contribution will pay for the medical supplies to accompany them to Nepal to deliver vital relief to villages outside Katmandu.
We have organized this relief fund to aid, comfort and rebuild Nepal. The images and stories of the damage are heartbreaking. In the aftermath, we urge you to support our friends, neighbours and communities impacted by the earthquake. They need our help and need it quickly. Thank you for your generosity.
Bivek, a Charlton resident, is on the ground in Nepal organising our relief missions with a highly trained medical team, the first to reach villages and dispense aid. Find out more about Bivek's work>>>
